  • We'll be planting 16 trees at Galloway Park along the railroad tracks. This will create a future sound buffer. :)
  • The City is applying for a TRIM grant. This will help with our Tree City recognition. We can assess the trees in our parks first and any dead limbs or trees will be taken out.
  • Ozark Independent Living will be donating a bench to Galloway Park. We are so thankful for their donation and can't wait to get it in place and ready to use!
  • The Rotary Club had a work day on Saturday at Galloway Park. They did some spring clean-up work and spreaded some mulch. There is new playground equipment for all the kids to enjoy!
  • The Street Department will be working on Luna Drive to finish up some dirt work, will be doing dirt work at the new Transit Bus Barn site.
  • We always ask during this time of year to be mindful of our mowing crews as they are out mowing right-of-ways and near the roadways. Be cautious as you drive!
  • The Electric Department is experiencing a NEW change. Jeff Hanshaw has been named Electric Superintendent, taking Jim Davidson's place as he is set to retire May 31. Jeff has been a leadman for the city for several years and will do great! The Electric Department will continue work at the Lanton Substation and will be clearing ditches along Kay Drive.
  • Planning & Zoning will meet Tuesday, May 14th at 5:30 p.m.
  • The Grand Opening of Wayhaven Park will be Wednesday, May 22nd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will serve hot dogs, chips, water, have a ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. and will have the equipment where all the kids can play!
